Niggah Please.

ROFL, "I put the H on it to emphasize it's niggAHHHHHHH"

Gotta love the news though. Hmm...a racial story, eh? Black woman covering the story? Check. Black student being a honor student, boy scout, Jesus Christ re-incarnated? Check. Why the white teacher is the devil himself...later on the news, at 11? Check.

What bothers me is the fact that the first half of the exchange between the teacher and student isn't mentioned at all.

This is totally a hypothesis, but I've had teachers before that were entirely clueless, and because of this, even the honor students would push their buttons just because they could. The most recent case of this was my computer technology teacher. He was a decent person but annoying, really eccentric, and completely oblivious to just about everything, so the kids gave him shit constantly.

And it should be noted that 9 out of 10 times when a situation like this comes up in a classroom, the other students will side with the kid and rally against the teacher, regardless of the circumstances. The kid could have pulled a knife on the teacher, and in most cases the kids would give a testimony that protected the kid and made the teacher look guilty. That's just how it works - especially since the kid is an honor roll student, a football player, and is probably quite popular.

They said the kid was at the door when this happened, so I would venture a guess that the kid got up from his seat without asking, and when the teacher asked him what he was doing, the kid probably smarted off and said something along the lines of "I'm going to the bathroom, nigga" and the teacher responded without thinking.

Do I think the teacher was wrong for using that word? Absolutely, and I think he should have been reprimanded in some way due to his inability to handle the situation appropriately, but I guarantee there's more to this story than we're being told. Also, the entire report built the kid up to be pristine and innocent (having him hold up his trophies for the camera and shit) and it is without a doubt biased reporting. We were meant to hate the teacher before we even saw his face because he used the N-word in relation to a black student.

The whole story is pretty much tainted.

Dude, seriously, fuck that. It was wrong for him to say it yes, but there's something they aren't showing. For example, what was the average race of the kids in the classroom? That would explain why they vouched for the kid instead of the teacher. He obviously wasn't as bad a guy as they made him out to be. He reminded me of a Mr. Murphree.

At the end the kid says, "he said that to me and wasn't punished and I think he should be" "and punishment to you means?" "that he should lose his job?" No, sorry, that kid did something, said something or acted in a way that was disrespectful. But because of parents and this invisible emphasis that the media has created that "the teacher is always wrong" has allowed this asshole kid to get off scott free. Again, what the teacher said was wrong, yes. But the school took the right approach with its punishment, it's just a fucking word.

But we live in such a sensitive society! lol

but you have to admit, that had to have been one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time.
