Something's Missing.

Currently Listening To: Kanno - Running
Current Topic of Interest: Grow Cube

The Mists of Avalon. 900 pages of glory which I need to finish by Tuesday. My life is not books, but one of my teachers seems to be out to make it so.

I don't know what it is about certain music that makes me just want to lay in some dream-like setting and just listen for hours upon hours. I know why certain things such as lyrics and rhythm may appeal to people, but when I listen to something, I want it to tell a story without saying anything. I guess that is why the above song and this one drop me in such an amazing setting.

The Red Badge of Sucking.

Currently Listening To: Steve Conte - Heaven's Not Enough
Current Topic of Interest: Fatty Cops Lootin'

There really hasn't been any mystery regarding my life for the past three weeks. I'm already overwhelmed with the amount of work I need to do and go home to work every goddamn saturday. I applied for several jobs on campus and managed to get zilch in return, but I'm still hoping they find a replacement for me at home because it would be nice to stay here, for you know, one weekend at least.

At any rate, Tuesdays are quite the tiring days. I get up at 7:00 am and attend class non stop from 9 till about 8:30. I've got three 30 minute breaks here and there, but they are hardly noteworthy. Tuesdays are really mondays in disguise; my calendar loves to mock me. The price is hefty, but the return is one 8:00 am class on mondays, wednesdays and fridays. Not bad at all. The political science courses I'm taking here at UCONN are miserable though. To illustrate, I give you the following diagram:
These are before and after pictures, the left being me before class at 7 am and the right five minutes into the first political science class. Seriously, do any of you fantasize about stabbing yourself in the neck with your sleek, b.i.c pen? I think it's a little too early in the semester for this sort of crap.

Oh, and the same thing happens when I read Stephen Crane. I told my professor to go stand out in the hallway and think about what he said when announcing how great Crane is. If I wanted to pay for a story that is essentially someone's diary, i'll turn to my space. The horrid grammar and drama, while less thought provoking provides more entertainment (albeit, a bit more depressing).

I also managed to rearrange my room and if you wish, pictures are available here. My photobucket account is also a mess...so don't be lookin' around thar. At any rate, I'm pleased with the arrangement. It'll hopefully make life a bit easier.

I'm somewhat loaded as of late with work, but if anyone on campus wants to grab a bite or check a film, give me a ring. I hope this semester isn't as hermetic as it has been so far.
